Some words you DON'T want to see in the first 10 ingredients of your dog food labels:
Corn (cheap filler, indigestible, unpalatable)
"Product" (not specific, probably means guts, beaks and feathers)
"By-product" (not specific, means even worse than the above)
Salt (flavor enhancer, shouldn't be necessary, isn't healthful)
Mill run (swept off the floor)
Middlings (the undigestible part of the wheat, virtually no nutrition, just a filler)
Animal  (not specific, could mean "road kill")
Poultry (not specific, could mean diseased chickens)
Tallow (fat rendered from cooking pots at animal processing plants
Flour (over-processed, lacking in nutrition)
Sugar (dogs don't eat sugar in a natural diet; it's not good for them)
Propylene Glycol (dangerous chemical used in antifreeze!)

Bonus tip:  it's less expensive than some of the "yellow" foods listed above!!
