Thank you, from Hurricane Country

The Bossier City Animal Control Shelter would like to thank those of you who sent pet food to them last week in preparation for Hurricane Gustav's effects. As we all know now, the hurricane fortunately failed to materialize into the Category IV storm as had been predicted. Most dogs and cats who'd been brought to the shelter went home within a few days of being left there. Still, the donations of food were a tremendous help in easing the burden of an overflowing-capacity shelter. The people who had to leave their pets there were without economic means to reimburse the shelter for its costs, and your donations were most helpful at that time.
