More Scuttlebut on Canidae Dog Food

Last week we reported finding dozens of complaints from across the country about the new formulation of Canidae dog food (dry kibble). Further internet exploration this week revealed many more, posted as recently as Dec. 23. Most of these people had used Canidae for years without incident, and were pleased with the product...until the company changed the formula earlier this year, unbeknownst to its customers. The new formula is causing vomiting of undigestible food, diarrhea, dehydration and lethargy in many dogs.

Some pet stores are pulling Canidae from their shelves because of all the complaints. Perhaps the company, which is actually a division of Diamond Foods (which also makes Artemis, Solid Gold, and Kirkland) will straighten out its Canidae dilemma and recapture its customers' trust. Until then, think about switching to another super-premium dog food.
