Donna Prime, who was so very influential in placing SO MANY pets during her work with Yakima Valley Pet Rescue, informs us that a new rescue group has been formed in the Yakima area. They're looking for volunteers and resources.
The name: "Wags to Riches" Animal Rescue Adoption and Sanctuary of Central Washington. They're looking for volunteers particularly in the areas of assessing, giving shots, and maintaining a website. They're glad to have anyone's help in any capacity, however. Foster homes are ALWAYS necessary on short notice too.
If you're interested in helping out with "Wags to Riches" or finding out more about the group's mission, email Donn at dmelsha@charter.net. A public meeting will be held July 8 at 7pm in Meyers Auditorium at Living Care Retirement Community, located at 40th and Summitview in Yakima.
